THEATRE REPERTORY PROGRAMME
The Theatre Repertory programmes are taught at a world reknown university based in California. Courses are taught on campus by the faculty in residence and are open (by audition only) to dedicated and talented stage actors. Training courses are taught at tertiary level and are demanding but rewarding for all involved. Each two-week programme culminates in a performance for faculty, students and industry professionals.
IMPROV
Improv is one of the best skills an actor can arm themselves with. The Canadian Improv Games is a world leader in the art of Improv, providing an amazing training programme culminating in a competition for high school students. Trained to perform spontaneous, improvised scenes within the framework of the CIG's own 5 event competitive format, teams of up to eight students take part in the Character, Life, Story, Style and Theme events. Bound by structure - students explore, (without preparation) the excitement and exhilaration of Improvisation.
Performing Arts Tours is proud to announce the launch of the Canadian Improv Games ‘down under’ in 2009 and we look forward to fielding a team to participate in April 2009. If you are looking to take your acting to the next level, just remember that you cannot improve without Improv!
