Brett and Jenny Shields, Ariana- Company 4 Ballarat
Hi Marg,
Just a very quick email to say thank you for last weekend in Ballarat. Thanks for taking such good care of them, and thanks for hleping them to learn so much from the experience. We only saw company 4's play, but we thought they were all amazing (and vastly improved from the week before!!). I can't imagine how good the other groups must have been!
Have a good trip this week - and i hope you get some sleep on the plane!
I know it is what you do for a living - but we really do appreciate the huge amount of effort you put in for the benefit of the kids.
Thanks again,

Through the Performing Arts Tours I met a group of amazing people, learnt more than I could have hoped for and fulfilled my dream of filming in Hollywood. I will definitely go again! Cheers guys
Gina - LA Acting for Film Dec 2007
The Performing Arts Tour not only taught me valuable skills to enhance my acting ability but taught me a lot about myself. These experiences have further validated my love for acting and life. I couldn’t fault the AIPA staff, the programme or the opportunities that were available to me and I can’t wait to go back again. X
Gus V - LA Acting for Film Dec 2007
Just a quick thank you or should I say a ‘……’ thank you to Marg, Mandy and all at AIPA for giving me the opportunity to fulfil my dream, living and working in Los Angeles. I can’t thank AIPA enough and would recommend them to anyone who is up for a challenge, prepared to work hard ‘oh’ and meet some amazing people who become mates for life.
To experience and gain the best available training is difficult to get - but with AIPA and their touring it makes it so much easier for actors like me.
Honestly guys I’ve toured with AIPA on several projects and have never been let down. Especially Marg’s ‘behind the scenes’ outings….thank you guys. Will be definitely doing this again in the near future.

Sarah B - LA Acting for Film Dec 2006
Dear Marg, Thank you so much for coming to the premier of the movies, I was glad you could make it and see our final work after all the effort you put into encouraging LA to do the course with us. This trip has been absolutely amazing: I have met so many wonderful people and learnt so much. The tutors were excellent and I have gained so much knowledge about the acting industry that was so beneficial. The trip has meant so much to me and everyone was so happy and excited and has been so pleased with the out come of the trip. Patsy, John, Mitch, Mandy and James were so good to me and I really enjoyed their company, knowledge and skills. If you could please pass on the biggest thank you, that would be great.Mitch gave up so much of his time and helped all of us with our scripts, terminology and monologues, I appreciated it so much. Patsy was a mother figure and helped everyone out. Mandy was excellent, she did so much, she is superwoman. John was awesome: he kept us all in good spirits and did an amazing job at looking after us all. James was so much fun and I had a blast in California Adventure Park with him. I hope your Dad continues to recover, he is strong and is lucky to have you and Chris by his side. I wish you family all the best and congratulations on becoming an aunty.See you soon, thank you very much, Love always Sarah B
Kirsten McFarland - RSSS TV Auditions 2006
Hey everyone,I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity that you provided me that was going to Ballarat to compete in the RSS competition. I have gained so much from this experience, as a person and also as an actor. I could go on for hours about what i have gained but find it hard to put into words. You provided the opportunity to meet new people with common interests as myself, as an actor i learnt from all the other students on tour just by being around them. The instructors are some of the most talented people I have ever met, their tutoring, advice, professionalism, and just them themselves have made me a better person and a better performer. The staff are amazing and I find it hard to comprehend how they can handle so many teenagers at once, but they do it. A huge thank you to Marg for making it all possible and the never-ending effort you put into these tours. I could not put a price on what I have gained from this experience and recommend tours with AIPA to anyone and everyone. I can't express how much you will gain in so many aspects of life.. this may seem hard to believe, but even though it's a short period of time, you are in an environment which promotes so many good things. Thank you so much for a wonderful time and learning experience.
Stephen - RSSS TV Auditions 2006

What a magnificent job you all did of the tour. Wonderfully coordinated, controlled and executed. Ninety teenagers!! You have may undying admiration. Adam came home fired up and rearing to go with the US tour. Stand alone the Ballarat tour was a great educator for him and has added to his ongoing process of maturing, both as an acting hopeful, but also as a young man. Our special thanks and appreciation must go to Mitch and Hayley for their help and understanding particularly during a couple of stressful moments. Thank you again for a great effort.

Thank you so much for everything at the weekend I had the best time I think I have had in a long time. I learnt so much and I think I gained a little bit of confidence in it to something I feel lets me down. You guys are the best tutors that I have ever come across and I can not thank you all enough how much this has helped me learn and now I actually really want to become a full time actor, because before I didn’t think I had much chance or maybe just do drama as a hobby or interest but now I have a much more of a desire to become one since spending the weekend around such inspiring people. (Yes I am talking about you guys) I thought everything was fantastic and have no complaints, the food, the place, the workshops and the other kids was more than I expected. Well I hope that everyone got to their final destination after our Monday exercise lol I got to back to nz around midnight and I am fine. Thanks again I look forward to seeing you NEXT year because I want to do it again, so please keep me posted Thanks again Cheers

Dear Marg, To you and your team congratulations again. Another successful tour that not only highlighted strong competition but also fostered friendships as well. You must feel very proud of the efforts of all your team from logistics to tutors. I was interested to see names of last year competitors on your staff list for this year…...so there is a future in Australia in drama after all!!!!!!!!So many people want you to believe otherwise. Congratulations to you all. Thank you also for the time that you took to speak to Alexandra personally. I do appreciate the genuine care that you offer her…every time she meets with you. Thank you and well done. I appreciate the opportunity you have provided my daughter and indeed the skills you have taught her too.

On behalf of Bonnie Riley and myself I would like to take this opportunity to say we both thoroughly enjoyed the Ballarat tour and she learnt heaps that she will now to take away and work on for next time. Next year we will be living in Sydney and would like to apply for further training and workshops with AIPA.Thank You for the opportunity.
Kerrie Basha - Orange - RSSS TV Auditions 2005
Thank you so very much for providing such a positive activity and opportunity for the children of Orange, who are so interested in the Performing Arts. I had a small number of Speech and Drama students involved, and each has returned with confidence, new friends and a pile of stories about what they learnt. Learnt about not only performance, but about themselves. Thank you. They all fronted up this morning for their AMEB Drama and Performance exams and all received either A+ or A. The trip away did not hinder their performance, I think it enhanced it. They were so focused. As a mother of one of your Squad members, I don't know where to begin. Alexandra is committed and determined. You have provided her with an environment of people who love performance just as much as she does. But an environment where people could also relax and enjoy the moment. She is so happy. Her experience has been so rewarding. Regardless of the results, the trip with you has been nothing short of an exciting adventure from start to finish. We thank you for your opportunity, your thorough organization, your advice, feedback and rapport established. We hope to be working with you again.
Gai McManus – Dubbo - RSSS TV Auditions 2005

Hi Marg, once again thanks for giving Ryan the opportunity to do the Ballarat tour last week. He thoroughly enjoyed the whole time there and seemed to gain some good hints/tips from all the drama coaches.

Kerrie - RSSS TV Auditions 2005
Recently I had a number of students audition in Orange to hopefully be a part of your Drama Squad. That aside, I would like to congratulate you on your friendly approach, your professionalism and general manner. All who participated have come away with such a positive experience , that from a teaching point of view, I couldn't have wished for any more. In this business I am only too aware of how quick people are to let you know if they don't particularly like something. This email is intended to be the opposite. Thankyou for providing the students with such a wonderful experience.

Dear Marg, Great to hear how well the cast did in Ballarat!! From our perspective (and on behalf of Georgia) we thought the whole experience was very valuable & thoroughly enjoyable for the kids & adults alike. Special thanks to you & all the staff for all your effort & hard work!! :o) Georgia had a wonderful time & as such opportunities are fairly scarce for country kids, she made the most of every aspect of the trip (including the shopping). The chance to meet someone as inspirational as Jan Russ was just awesome for the kids & I must admit I was also very impressed with her professionalism & obvious passion for her work!! So thankyou once again for affording Georgia the opportunity to take part in such a great competition. This experience was truly something special for her to look back upon, no matter where her life's journey may lead her. We look forward to a continued association with AIPA in the future. Special thanks & kind regards,
Gill Pedrana - Dubbo - RSSS TV Auditions 2005
Thank you for giving these country kids an opportunity they would never have had otherwise. Keep in touch regarding workshops etc. We will endeavour to get Lydia there.
Nic Rebellato - Forbes NSW - RSSS TV Auditions 2005
Hi Marg, Chris, Tori - I would just like to say thank you to all the staff on the 2005 Ballarat Tour for giving me and the other cast the opportunity to learn a huge amount about what acting is really all about. The motel, QANTAS, the coach lines etc all looked after us so well, they made us feel like we were celebrities. Thanks for taking such good care of us all and for having the patience and time for each of us. A special thank you to Jan Russ, whose job must be so full on, but at the same time, so interesting, she is a wonderful lady. I am looking forward to doing more acting courses and learning all that there is to know about the industry. The experience has made me think about learning more about live performance ie: theatre and stage etc.

Glenda & Brian G - Musical Theatre LA & New York 2004
Dear Marg I have been meaning to contact you for awhile and this has prompted me! I just wanted to thank you and your team for the wonderful experience that Natalie had. Without your initiative in coming to a rural area Natalie would never have had the opportunity. I know you had a few problems along the way but I hope this does not stop you from giving this chance to other children living in rural areas in the future. So thank you and please convey our thanks too other staff members. Natalie is now at boarding school in Orange, I will make sure she gets this information. Best wishes
Arissa - Musical Theatre LA & New York 2004
Hi Marg, Thank you for such a great trip!!! It was such a great experience and i learnt so much from all the workshops! All your hard work really showed and i thankyou so much for that. About this year i am going to continue coming to KICK and i was just wondering, i have been talking to Jared and he is not returning to KICK this year and i was wondering if you knew of anyone else who lives in my area (Rosebay) or if there was a closer train station to my area as there is not one in Rosebay that i could catch. Mums only worry with train and bus transport is travelling home on the train late at night by myself. And also when does KICK start again. If you could get back to me when you can that would be great. Thankyou for everything.
Jess - Musical Theatre LA & New York 2004

Lyndsay Lowe - Musical Theatre LA & New York 2004
My daughter Nikki was a member of the US Musical Theatre Tour Squad to LA and New York. For Nikki it was an experience of a lifetime and the opportunities she was given both in the US and back at home have resulted from that tour. The tour also gave her more confidence back at her home studio. The memories and friendships she gained from that trip just can't be bought! she had a fabulous time and gained more valuable experience in the performing arts industry. I would definitely recommend AIPA tours! Thank you to Marg and all the team, a huge job done very well done!
Tiia - Musical Theatre LA & New York 2004
