Terms & Conditions 2011 Tours
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
I certify that all details supplied are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, correct. The person filling out the enrollment and registration forms must be aged 18 years and older.
While on
tour our staff reserve the right to ground or send home a Tour Member who is,
in our opinion, jeopardising the safety or rights of themselves or others, or
who appears to have rejected the reasonable controls of the Tour.
1. Illicit drugs, alcohol and cigarettes are not to be taken to or consumed at
all whilst on tour (We don’t care what other students from other schools do).
2. No weaponry is to be taken. This includes all sharp items. If unsure, please
leave items at home.
3. No washing detergents or flammable powders/gases are to be taken. U.S.
CUSTOMS ARE VERY STRICT.
4. No more than 23kg is to be packed in your suitcase. You pack it. You carry
it!
5. All hand luggage (including your laptop) must be packed in your tour
backpack. (Supplied)
6. Tour Members must have sufficient funds to support phone calls, shopping and
souvenir needs. Staff will not give loans.
7. Tour Members are to behave in an orderly fashion at all times.
8. Tour Members must respect each other and each other’s property at all times.
9. Tour Members must take their allocated seats on the plane without fuss.
Changes may be made at staff discretion once the plane has levelled out.
10. The Tour Member must keep their room clean and respect the hotel property
at all times.
11. The Tour Member must report any breakages or damage immediately. If damage
is through carelessness or disregard those concerned will be responsible for
repair or replacement costs.
12. Tour Members must follow all instruction given by tour staff members.
13. Tour Members are expected to be courteous to all tour staff, guest tutors,
coaches and members of the public.
14. Participants must adhere to all directions and bed times.
15. Tour Members not ready to leave at the designated time will be left behind
for the day with a staff member.
16. Tour Members must be in possession of a clean tour uniform, which will be
worn when travelling, with socks and sneakers.
17. All items of clothing must be marked clearly with the Tour Member’s name.
18. If students choose to bring iPods, laptops, cameras etc. with them, they do
so at their own risk. Please make sure that all items of value are insured
(check with your travel insurance provider).
19. I am aware that travelling to overseas can be dangerous in nature involving
many risks. Because the stakes of participating in the workshops are high, I
recognize that the rules and regulations which govern the said activity exist
to provide a safe environment for all participants and agree to abide by those
same rules for my own safety, professionalism and career development as well as
those around me.
20. In consideration of the Australian Institute for Performing Arts (ABN 55
093 235 057) in permitting me to participate in each of the workshops and to
engage in all activities related to the programs, including, but not limited
to, transport, practicing or playing/participating in that activity program, I
hereby assume all of the risks associated with participation and agree to hold,
the Australian Institute for Performing Arts (AIPA), Performing Arts Tours
(PAT), it's employers, agents, representatives, coaches, and volunteers
harmless from any negligence and all liability, actions, causes of action,
debts, claims, or demands of any kind and nature whatsoever which may arise by,
or in connection with my participation in any activities related to each of the tours. The terms hereof shall serve as a release and
assumption of risk for my heirs, estate, executor, administrator, assignees,
and for all members of my family.
21. I consent to allow AIPA and PAT, to use mine/my child’s image, name and any
photographs, sound and film recordings taken of myself/my child at this programme,
performance for the promotion of this and future programmes, services and
initiatives to the media and to the general public.
22. I allow my child or myself to travel in a vehicle driven by an AIPA or PAT staff
member while in the U.S.
23. In the case of a medical emergency, I hereby give permission to the
Doctor/Dentist chosen by AIPA staff to secure proper treatment for and/or order
hospitalisation, injection, anaesthetic, or surgery for me or my child. I understand that
every effort will be made to contact my emergency contacts prior to instituting
such procedures.
24. I understand that enrolment is a legally binding agreement and I am
responsible for full payment and I am legally committed to pay the full amount
of the tour if I have to withdraw.
25. I understand all payments are final. I will ensure I have adequate travel insurance if I need to withdraw.
26. I have purchased travel insurance – adequate for travel to and from the US.
